Lemon Pop (6yo, horse), who capped off his career with a brilliant repeat victory in the G1 Champions Cup, returned to Miho Training Center at noon on December 3.
After the race, Lemon Pop stayed at Chukyo Racecourse for two nights before travelling early in the morning of the 3rd. Trainer Haruki Tanaka, who greeted the horse upon arrival, expressed his relief and gratitude, saying, "First and foremost, I'm just glad he made it back safely. He'll spend only a few more days at the stable, but we'll focus on keeping him in good condition before sending him off to Hokkaido. As a stable, while it wasn't perfect, there's definitely a sense of accomplishment."
Lemon Pop is scheduled to depart later this week for the Darley Japan Stallion Complex in Hidaka, Hokkaido, where he will begin the next chapter of his life as a stallion.
