Sent-off favourite, Yoho Lake with Mirai Iwata on board won the G3 Naruo Kinen at Kyoto Racecourse. Boccherini finished second, a head behind the winner, and Air Sage came home in third, one-and-a-half lengths behind Boccherini. The winning time was 1:57.2.

Yoho Lake is a son of Deep Impact out of Crow Canyon, by French Deputy. After securing his first graded stakes victory in the G2 Nikkei Shinshun Hai in January 2022, Yoho Lake suffered a tendon injury that led to a long-term layoff. However, he managed to return to form, clinching a win in his third race back.
