Sarakosth is set to debut in Kyoto Race 5 on Sunday. Last week, under the guidance of jockey Christophe Lemaire, Sarakosth clocked a satisfactory 6F in 83.5 seconds, with a final furlong in 11.4 seconds on the Ritto Racecourse woodchip track. Despite trailing Moment Heureux by a neck due to a significant pursuit, he displayed an agile performance. This week, he worked on the Ritto Training Center uphill course, recording 4F in 54.2 seconds, with the last furlong in 12.8 seconds, showing a light response. Trainer Manabu Ikezoe remarked, "He has been progressing well. He has a good back, soft and nice. I can feel his ability."

Sarakosth comes from a distinguished bloodline. His grandmother, Salomina, won the 2012 Diana Trial (German Oaks). His dam, Salonika, has siblings who have achieved notable success, including Salacia, a graded stakes winner and runner-up in the 2020 G1 Arima Kinen, and Salios, the winner of the 2019 G1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes. "Although he is by Epiphaneia, he doesn't have a strong mouth and is well-balanced," said Ikezoe, indicating his high expectations for this promising colt.
