Deep Bond, who finished third in the G1 Tenno Sho (Spring), completed a final workout ahead of the G1 Takarazuka Kinen on the woodchip track at Ritto Training Center on the 13th. With jockey Hideaki Miyuki aboard, he started with Chuwano Kiseki well ahead of him. Gradually closing the gap during the workout, Deep Bond was pushed to his limits in the stretch and finished powerfully, ending up one length ahead.

His time of 79.2 seconds for six furlongs, with the final furlong in a blistering 11.6 seconds, was the second-fastest of the morning. Despite being seven years old, he displayed powerful and impressive movement. Miyuki was pleased with the performance, saying, "We did a solid workout. Both his movement and time were excellent. He's in a condition comparable to his last race."

The upcoming race will again take place at his preferred Kyoto Racecourse. "He's a horse that's easy to ride in races and performs very well. His response at the crucial moments and his smooth acceleration down the slope confirm that Kyoto suits him perfectly," Miyuki noted. They aim to achieve their long-awaited G1 victory in their second race together as a team.
