Justin Palace, who finished third last year, is showing promising signs ahead of the G1 Takarazuka Kinen at Kyoto this weekend. In his last race, the G1 Dubai Sheema Classic, he finished fourth in his first overseas trip. However, rider Ikemizu reported, "He has been progressing well and has maintained good condition." He added, "We have a good impression of Kyoto, and the jockey is familiar with him. I believe he can show his full potential."

This time, he will be paired again with Christophe Lemaire, with whom he has an undefeated record of four wins in four races. They aim for a second G1 title on the favourable Kyoto outer course.
