Prognosis secured an entry spot for the G1 Osaka Hai with a promising run in Kinko Sho, and along with Yuga Kawada the pair now have a 100% strike rate from 5 races together. Feengrotten finished second and Arata came in third. The winning time was 1:59.8.
Feengrotten led through most of the race whilst Prognosis was held at the rear of the field. When asked by Kawada he responded perfectly and took over the race, running out a confident winner.
Making his third attempt at graded stakes level, his long-awaited victory came with little struggle. In Kawada's post-race interview, he said "I didn't like the way we headed into the first corner. He was keen and I couldn't calm him down. I knew he had great potential from the first time I sat on him, and we will now focus on conditioning and preparing for the next race.
