The autumn racing season officially kicks off this week with meetings at Chukyo and Nakayama racecourses, featuring three graded stakes races.
On Sunday, September 8th, Chukyo Racecourse will host the G2 Centaur Stakes, where G1 Victoria Mile winner Ten Happy Rose, three-year-old filly Puro Magic, who is on a streak of graded stakes wins, and Mozu Meimei, who recently won the G3 Ibis Summer Dash, are all set to compete.
Meanwhile, on the same day at Nakayama Racecourse, the G3 Keisei Hai Autumn Handicap will take place. Entries include Ascoli Piceno, last year's G1 Hanshin Juvenile Fillies winner and runner-up in two consecutive G1 races. Dio, who finished second in the G3 Sekiya Kinen, and Di Speranza, who claimed victory in the G3 Arlington Cup, will be among the entries.
On Saturday, September 7th, the G2 Shion Stakes will be held at Nakayama Racecourse, where horses will compete for a spot in the G1 Shuka Sho. Notable contenders include Bond Girl, who finished second in the G3 Queen Stakes, Mi Anhelo, winner of the G3 Flower Cup, and Christmas Parade, who is undefeated in two starts at Nakayama.
On the NAR circuit, the JPN2 Furaibo Sho will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd, at Morioka Racecourse, with entries including Sunrise Zipangu, who has been racing on the turf in the spring.
