Sent-off favourite Ecoro Sieg with Christophe Lemaire on board won the Open Class Canna Stakes at Nakayama Racecourse. Mozu Nana Star finished second two and a half lengths behind the winner and Rapier came home in third 3/4 lengths behind Mozu Nana Star. The winning time was 1:07.2.

Ecoro Sieg is a USA-bred son of Twirling Candy out of Lily Pod by Bernstein. He remained unbeaten following his win in the Newcomers back in August. This winning time was a record time for a two-year-old 1200m race.
