On November 3 (JST), the G1 Breeders' Cup Mile at Del Mar Racetrack saw seventh favourite More Than Looks, ridden by jockey Jose Ortiz, surge from the very back of the field to capture victory with a powerful late run in a time of 1:32.65.

Fourth favourite Johannes finished second, while the favourite Notable Speech took third.

Among the Japanese contenders, sixth favourite Ten Happy Rose tracked in second, momentarily taking the lead in the stretch before finishing fourth, while fifth favourite Geoglyph stayed close in third throughout the race and finished fifth.

The winner, More Than Looks, is sired by More Than Ready out of Ladies' Privilege, by Harlan's Holiday. This marked a redemption from last year's sixth-place finish and his first G1 win.
