Christmas Parade with Yukito Ishikawa won the G2 Shion Stakes at Nakayama Racecourse on Saturday, breaking the track record in the process. Mi Anhelo finished second, a neck behind the winner, and the pre-race favourite Bond Girl came home in third, one-and-a-quarter lengths behind Mi Anhelo. The winning time was 1:56.6.

Christmas Parade is a daughter of Kitasan Black out of Miss Erika, by Blame. This is her first graded stakes title after missing out on spring classics. With this victory, she earned an entry spot in the G1 Shuka Sho, as did Mi Anhelo and Bond Girl.
