This weekend features a three-day race meeting across a trio of tracks, Tokyo, Kyoto, and Niigata with three graded stakes races scheduled.
The highlight of the week is on Sunday, October 13th, at Kyoto Racecourse, where the G1 Shuka Sho, the final leg of the Triple Tiara series, will take place. Notable contenders include Cervinia, who rebounded from a 13th-place finish in the Oka Sho to win the Japanese Oaks. Stellenbosch, the Oka Sho winner and runner-up in the Japanese Oaks, and Queen's Walk, who claimed victory in the Rose Stakes will also be in the line up. These fillies will battle it out for the final crown of the series.
On Monday, October 14th, at Tokyo Racecourse, the G2 Fuchu Himba Stakes is set to be run, with notable entries including last year's Queen Elizabeth II Cup winner Brede Weg dual G2 winner Masked Diva, and Fierce Pride, who finished second in the Victoria Mile.
Also on Sunday, Tokyo Racecourse will host the Jump G2 Tokyo High Jump, where June Velocity, winner of the Tokyo Jump Stakes, is among the expected runners.
In the National Association of Racing, the JPN1 Nambu Hai will be held on Monday, October 14th, at Morioka Racecourse, featuring Lemon Pop, who will be attempting to retain the title after a commanding victory in last years edition.
