Cervinia and Christophe Lemaire claim the G1 Shuka Sho

Cervinia, with Christophe Lemaire on board, won Sunday's G1 Shuka Sho, the final leg of the Triple Tiara at Kyoto Racecourse. Bond Girl finished second, one-and-three-quarter lengths behind the winner, and Stellenbosch came home in third, a half-length behind Bond Girl. The winning time was 1:57.1.
Cervinia is a daughter of Harbinger out of Cecchino, by King Kamehameha. This is her second G1 title with Christophe Lemaire after the pair took the G1 Japanese Oaks this year. This is also the third Shuka Sho title for Christophe Lemaire, who joins Yutaka Take and Yasunari Iwata as the most successful jockeys in the race's history.
