Industria won his first graded title in the G3 Lord Derby Challenge Trophy, tackling his favourite course in the Nakayama mile. Emerging from the middle of the pack under Keita Tosaki, Industria responded to his urgings to catch Justin Cafe, who finished second.

There was a surprising start to the race as Red Mon Reve jumped slowly from the gate, and Belenus took up the running while Industria and Tosaki were ridden quietly further back. Industria was pushed along from the outside and produced a strong finish in the last furlong.

Tosaki commented, "I knew he was in good condition. I thought I went for home too far out but he was explosive in the home straight." Industria is now three from three over a mile at Nakayama. "He runs well at Nakayama. He is only okay in Tokyo, so we'll look to fix this inconsistency."
