This week, races will go ahead at Tokyo, Kyoto, and Fukushima Racecourses, with two graded stakes are scheduled.
The highlight is Sunday, November 17th, when the G1 Mile Championship takes place at Kyoto Racecourse. Last year's winner, Namur (five-year-old mare), who last ran to a strong second in the Yasuda Kinen earlier in the year, will be competing, along with Brede Weg (4-year-old mare), winner of last year's Queen Elizabeth II Cup. Three-time G1 winner Charyn (4-year-old colt) is also set to participate from the UK.
On Saturday, November 16th, the G2 Tokyo Sports Hai Nisai Stakes will be held at Tokyo Racecourse. Notable entries include Croix du Nord, who claimed victory in a Newcomer race over Arlecchino, Red Kingly, who dominated a Tokyo 2000m Newcomer race, and Feiern Kranz, who placed third in the Sapporo Nisai Stakes.
