Irogotoshi domination of JG1 Nakayama Grand Jump gives Kyushu region first G1 winner

Irogotoshi and Yu Kuroiwa won the JG1 Nakayama Grand Jump becoming the first Kyushu region-bred horse to win a JRA G1. Irogotoshi jumped smoothly throughout and took over the race at the third turn, winning the race by 3.1 seconds.
Mikki Meteo finished second, whilst Daishin Clover came in third one-and-a-half-lengths behind Mikki Meteo. All 10 runners came home safely on the heavy Nakayama turf.
Irogotoshi is a son of Vincennes out of Irojikake, by Kurofune. This is his fourth race under the jumps code.
