Christophe Lemaire struck once again with Justin Palace after winning the Derby trial yesterday in Tokyo. The pair travelled in a good rhythm and slowly advanced to the front catching up to Deep Bond in the home stretch. Deep Bond finished second, two-and-a-half lengths behind Justin Palace.

Silver Sonic came in third, a length behind Deep Bond, and odds-on favourite Titleholder was pulled up at the home turn.

Justin Palace is a son of Deep Impact out of Palace Rumor, by Royal Anthem. This is his second consecutive win after winning the G2 Hanshin Daishoten, and a first at Group 1 level.
