Ridden by Javier Castellano, Mage won the 149th G1 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on Saturday evening (local time), for trainer Gustavo Delgado. Two Phil's finished second and the pre-race favourite Angel of Empire came in third.

Derma Sotogake finished sixth and Mandarin Hero finished alongside other runners at the rear of the field.
