Songline, ridden by Keita Tosaki, won her second G1 title on Sunday in the Victoria Mile, following her Yasuda Kinen victory last year.
Lotus Land led the group to the home stretch and last year's winner Sodashi drew away from other runners in the last 3 furlongs. But Songline came from behind up the inside and went past Sodashi inside the last 100m. Stars on Earth finished third behind Sodashi and the winning time was 1:32.2.
Winning jockey Tosaki reflected, "She responded to my command. I wanted her to run outside but it was too crowded. The surface condition was not great alongside the rail as well but she gave everything. She ran well." On her future plans, he added: "She is capable of winning more high-level stakes races. I am looking forward to achieving more with her."
