Gloria Mundi further proved his potential with a two-length winn in Saturday's G3 Heian Stakes. He was winning his second consecutive graded stakes race after taking the Diolite Kinen by nine lengths back in March. Hagino Alegrias finished second and Vanyar came in third.

Lord Valenti took the lead and led the pack until the turn for home, at which point Gloria Mundi and Kawada made their move. When Kawada asked him for his effort, he responded with a powerful stride and drew away from his rivals into the home straight.

This is Kawada's fourth winner in the Heian Stakes, and he reflected after the race: "Although he was not in his best condition, he won the race by two lengths. He showed off his potential with this victory. We just have to send him to the races in his best condition from now on."
