Odds-on favourite Liberty Island, with Yuga Kawada on board, dominated the G1 Japanese Oaks on Sunday, going two-from-two in the fillies' Classics following her G1 Oka Sho (Japanese 1000 Guineas) victory. Harper finished second and Dura came in third.
Liberty Island won by a stunning six-length margin, the most extended winning margin in Japanese Oaks history since 1984.
Kawada commented: "We are now one title away from the Triple Tiara. This is a result of all the hard work by everyone involved in her. I am so proud of her and the team after hearing the roar of the crowd of fans."
