Tosaki Keita steered Songline to win consecutive G1 titles in Sunday's Yasuda Kinen, having won the Victoria Mile in May. Songline is the third horse to win two consecutive Yasuda Kinens, joining Yamanin Zephyr who managed the feat in 1992 and 1993, and Vodka in 2008 and 2009. Serifos came home in second in this year's renewal and the favourite of the race, Schnell Meister, finished third.

Jockey Keita Tosaki expressed his joy after the race, "I am extremely happy to win another G1 with Songline and feel so lucky to be able to ride such a horse like her. I knew we would do well after riding workouts before the race, so I was confident."

He reflected, "I was able to put her in her favourite position in the mid-field and we were travelling in a good rhythm. She always accelerates smoothly in the home stretch so I was able to showcase her speed and ability." He also expressed appreciation for the connections, adding: "She is still stepping up one or two levels. I am so grateful to all the connections for allowing me to ride this beautiful Songline."
