Yet another classic winner from the progeny of the Japanese great Deep Impact, Auguste Rodin and Ryan Moore dominated the G1 Epsom Derby field.

Japanese legend Yutaka Take rode Deep Impact in every racecourse start and commented on the English Derby winner that "It feels amazing as a jockey to have ridden and be associated with a horse like him. This is his last crop and there are only a few of them. That's Deep Impact." said proudly.

Auguste Rodin never featured when he finished twelfth on the last start in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket but bounced back to the winner's enclosure in the Epsom Derby. Auguste Rodin next engagement may be the G1 Irish Derby at Curragh in July for an attempt at the Epsom-Irish Derby double.
