Favourite of the race, Big Ribbon secured her first Graded stakes title in the fast-paced G3 Mermaid Stakes on Sunday.
Jockey Atsuya Nishimura reflected, "(The) past two races have been stressful finishing second and third. I really needed to get the win for the owners. The condition of the horse was great and I just had to do my job perfectly."
On her next steps he added, with confidence "Big Ribbon will not be stopped and we will step up to the bigger stages."
