Yutaka Take guided Sekifu to the winner's circle in the G3 Elm Stakes at Sapporo Racecourse on Sunday. The pair took up position at the rear of the field and Take timed his run perfectly to catch up to World Tachyon, who was a pacemaker for this race. World Tachyon finished second, 1/2 length behind the winner and Roche Lobe finished third, 2 and 1/2 lengths behind the World Tachyon.

Sekifu is a son of Henny Hughes out of Siyabona, by Kingmambo. This is his second graded stakes victory after winning the Hyogo Junior Grand Prix back in 2021.
