After the sale, Trainer Yahagi stated in a interview with local media outlets including the 'Racing Post', "I have a great interest in Wootton Bassett. I believe he is a stallion well-suited to Japanese racing. Although we lost out to Coolmore on the two horses, I am satisfied with two we got."
