The Arqana August Yearling Sale was held in Deauville, France from the 18th to the 20th. Japanese owner Hidetoshi Yamamoto successfully acquired a total of four lots. The quartet included a filly by Saxon Warrior and Almanzor. Both are scheduled to be imported and race in Japan. The acquisitions reflects Yamamoto's commitment to introducing well-bred horses to the Japanese racing scene.

Owner Yamamoto commented, "We haven't decided on a trainer yet. Of course, I hope they perform well on the track, but given their pedigrees, they also hold residual breeding value. I hope to race in Japan for both competitive and breeding purposes." The filly by Saxon Warrior was purchased for 300,000 euros and the filly by Almanzor cost 200,000 euros. The former is a half-brother to, Shakheel, winner of the Group 1 Grand Prix de Paris in 2017. The latter is a half-sister to Zelie, who triumphed in the Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac in 2021.

Furthermore, another Deauville purchase was a filly by Siyouni out of Marebra. She will join the yard of Satoshi Kobayashi in France. Meanwhile, a well-bred colt by Kingman out of Channel, whose dam won the French Oaks in 2019 will remain in Europe. The strategic placement of these horses in different regions highlights the owner's intention to maximize their potential and achievements in various racing jurisdictions.
