This weekend's racing will mark the beginning of the JRA fall racing season with the G1 Sprinters Stakes on Sunday at Nakayama Racecourse. Our original AI will introduce some of the main contenders for the G1 Sprinters Stakes.

Jasper Krone

Jasper Krone, secured an open class win in May after winning the Shunpu Stakes (3 Wins Class), demonstrated his outstanding speed. However, he faced an impossible task in the G3 Hakodate Sprint Stakes three starts ago. He couldn't display his full ability due to being the victim of interference during the race. The son of Frosted quickly made amends in the G3 CBC Sho two starts back, Jasper Krone showcased his signature speed, clinching his first graded stakes win.

In his most recent outing in the G3 Kitakyushu Kinen, Jasper Krone again showcased his trademark acceleration, securing another wire-to-wire victory from an outside barrier. He was also crowned as this year's champion of the Summer Sprint Series, which has earned him a spot in this prestigious G1 race.

Jasper Krone has recorded six wins, all of which were frontrunning performances. The key to his success typically lies in securing an early lead. Among the expected runners to race prominently, are T M Spada and Mozu Meimei, both of whom have previously faced Jasper Krone. However, given his superior dash of speed and acceleration, there should be little concern about his ability to lead the race and deliver a strong performance.

Namura Clair

Namura Clair demonstrated her top-level sprinting abilities by securing a commendable second place in this year's G1 Takamatsunomiya Kinen. In her previous race, the G3 Keeneland Cup, she had to contend with challenging track conditions caused by heavy rain. Nevertheless, in the home stretch, she displayed a dominant performance surging from the outside to overpower her competitors and claim a convincing victory.

Over her career, competing over 1200 meters on turf, Namura Clair boasts eight starts with five wins and a sole second and third-place finish. The only time she finished outside of the top three positions was in last year's Sprinters Stakes. However, in that race, she had to contend with inside-favouring track conditions and raced from the far outside. Impressively, she briefly surged into 2nd position during the race but eventually fading back to finish fifth. It was still a result that still exceeded expectations, considering she was a three-year-old racing against experienced older horses.

Given her improved performance and results this year, Namura Clair appears to have improved. Expectations are high for an even better performance to that of last year.

Kimiwa Queen

Kimiwa Queen, who has built her track record by racing more prominently, adopted a different strategy when racing two starts ago in the G3 Hakodate Sprint Stakes. The race tactic that were employed was to race from the rear. In the home stretch, she demonstrated an impressive burst of speed, swiftly overtaking horses in front and clinch her first graded stakes title.

In her previous start, the G3 Keeneland Cup, she finished in seventh. This can be attributed to unfavourable track conditions and the disadvantageous draw of an inside barrier position. Furthermore, in the Keeneland Cup, the horses in the first four positions around the final turn finished in the top six places. Kimiwa Queen managed to finish first among the closers and late chargers, which indicates her performance was not as disappointing as her final placing might suggest.

What's more, in that race, she even outperformed some of the top-level sprinters, such as Naran Huleg and Win Marvel, providing ample evidence of her ability to compete at the highest level. Although she might see a dip in popularity due to her previous result, the reasons for her performance are clear, and a return to her true potential could result in a significant turnaround.
