The ownership group representing Daring Tact, Normandy Owners Club, announced on the 6th that Triple Tiara winner Daring Tact will be retired after a veterinary officer reported suspensory desmitis in her leg once again.

Daring Tact is a daughter of Epiphaneia out of Daring Bird, by King Kamehameha. She first stepped out in November 2019 and made history by becoming an unbeaten Triple Tiara winner the next year. She was later placed in the G1 Japan Cup, finishing third behind Almond Eye and Contrail, and placed in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup in Hong Kong. Her career record stands at five wins from 13 starts with three graded stakes titles.

Trainer Haruki Sugiyama commented, "When I received the news from the connections, I was devastated. I will forever be grateful for the experiences and places she took us with stable staff and owners. Thank you so much to all the fans for your continued support. Our team is still in business because of her and we will never forget the legacy of Daring Tact. She now heads to broodmare duties but, before that, I would like to say thank you for all the work she did for us."
