Mirco Demuro guided Divina to a first graded stakes title in the G2 Fuchu Himba Stakes at Tokyo Racecourse on Saturday. Rouge Eveil made a late challenge and finished second, a nose behind the winner. Lilac came home in third.

Demuro reflected, "It is really hard to fully control her. She has been very keen during workouts and she was keen during the race as well. She finally calmed down in the homestretch and ran well until the finish. We have always been second but glad to finally win a graded stakes. Thank you to the former MLB player/owner Mr. Kazuhiro Sasaki for trusting me to this point."

Commenting on her future plans, Demuro added, "With this win, we earned an entry spot for the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup. I think the distance will not be a problem so I will discuss it with Mr. Sasaki and see if he wants Divina to run in the QE II Cup.
