Japan's Leading Horse, Equinox, is set to return to action in the G1 Tenno Sho (Autumn). He is aiming for his fifth consecutive G1 win. Racing on the hallowed turf on Tokyo Racecourse certainly adds to his obvious appeal on form. His main autumnal target is the 2400m G1, the Japan Cup, scheduled for November 26th.

"Compared to what he went through building up for his last run, it will be easier for him this time." said trainer Tetsuya Kimura. Equinox is always a horse that shows his quality in his homework. When Christophe Lemaire rode him, the trainer asked him to confirm the current condition of the horse. "The main purpose was just to ride him. I wanted him to have confidence for next week." said trainer Kimura.

With all racings eyes focused on him, his response was outstanding. "He was excited in Dubai Sheema Classic and was in not good form in Takarazuka Kinen. However, He is in good forms both physically and mentally. I think we will be able to race in top condition again this year." said a buoyant Lemaire. The countdown is on for the Tenno Sho.
