Brede Weg won her first G1 title at just her fifth start since debut, as she was guided to a three-quarter-length margin by Christophe Lemaire in Sunday's G1 Queen Elizabeth 2 Cup. Rouge Eveil couldn't match the speed of Brede Weg, but ran well in second. Harper came home in third, a neck behind Rouge Eveil. The winning time was 2:12.6.

Brede Weg is a daughter of Lord Kanaloa out of Inner Urge, by Deep Impact. Her comfortable win in Sunday's G1 QEII Cup was preceded by a second-placed finish in the G2 Rose Stakes. It was a first G1 title for trainer Keisuke Miyata.
