Schnell Meister appears to be on track for this Sunday's G1 Mile Championship after a promising pre-race workout. He conducted his final fast work on the woodchip course at Ritto Training Center.

Nabata assistant trainer reflected, "We did this work to control his condition and his movements were great. We are on track." He clocked 81.8 seconds for six furlongs and 11.8 for the final furlong.

He added, "Travelling on the day of the race works well for him instead of staying a night before at the racecourse." Work rider Ohmura also stated, "He is in better shape than he was in the spring."

Christophe Lemaire, who will take the reins in the feature race, commented, "I felt good about him in the last race. He responded well and it was better than other races. He has run well in Kyoto and I look forward to it."
