Two-time G1 winner Stravinsky died at 27

Two-time G1 winner Stravinsky passed away on the 21st at the Japan Bloodhorse Breeders' Association operated stallion farm in Shizunai, Hokkaido. He was 27 years old.

A top-class sprinter on the track, Stravinsky retired to the breeding shed of Ashford Stud in Kentucky in 2000. He was imported to join the Japanese stallion ranks in 2006. The son of Nureyev retired from active stud duties in 2018.

His most notable performers include 2007 G2 Milers Cup Kongo Rikishio.
