Heart's Cry became sixth-winningest sire in JRA history

With Taiki Laughter winning the race right at Kokura Racecourse on Saturday, Heart's Cry became the sixth-winningest sire in JRA history with 1528 wins passing Fuji Kiseki.
Heart's Cry is the son of Sunday Silence out of Irish Dance by Tony Bin. During his career, he won the 2006 G1 Dubai Sheema Classic and 2005 G1 Arima Kinen becoming the one and only Japanese horse to finish ahead of Deep Impact.
He had a major impact on Japanese racing as a sire producing many G1 winners including Do Deuce, Just a Way, and Continuous. He passed away last year at the age of 22.
