Omega Guiness was ridden by Christophe Lemaire as he conducted a final fast work on the woodchip course at Miho Training Center and clocked 11.3 seconds for the final furlong. He is ready to carry this momentum with luck into the race.

Interview - Christophe Lemaire

Interviewer - "What did you think of the fast trackwork?"

Lemaire - "He was enjoying it and accelerated by himself. He is in good condition."

Interviewer - "What is Omega Guiness's strong point?"

Lemaire - "He is calm and very quick to respond. He finishes off with a smooth acceleration."

Interviewer - "This time your team has luck on its side. How excited is everyone?"

Lemaire - "There are no champion dirt horses in this race because of the international races. This is a great chance for us to win a big title." Interview - Naru Ohwada

Interviewer - "How was Omega Guiness after the last run?"

Ohwada - "He usually gives everything in the race but he was quicker to recover than usual."

Interviewer - "He has been working well for the past two weeks. How are you feeling about him?"

Ohwada - "His work has been quicker than we have planned but I'm happy to see there is no negative effect on the race from that."

Interviewer - "What do you think of the conditions of the race for him?"

Ohwada - "The February Stakes suits him the best. He's never won a graded stakes before so I am excited for this challenge. I cannot wait to see how he will go against G1-level horses."

Interviewer - "This could also be your first G1 title. How are you feeling?"

Ohwada - "I do not care about the titles for now. I just hope he comes back safely."
