2024 is off to a thrilling start for Peptide Nile and Yusuke Fujioka after the pair pulled off a big upset in Sunday's G1 February Stakes. Gaia Force finished second, one-and-a-quarter lengths behind the winner, and Sekifu came home in third a neck behind Gaia Force. Omega Guiness, who was sent off favourite, finished a disappointing 14th. The winning time was 1:35.7.

Peptide Nile is a son of King Kamehameha out of Queen Olive, by Manhattan Cafe. This is the first graded stakes title for Peptide Nile and the first G1 title for trainer Hidenori Take.
