Yoshitomi Shibata extended his record as the oldest JRA jockey to win a race after his win in race 8 at Kyoto Racecourse on A Lot Dream. The current record is now 57 years 6 months and 20 days.

After the race, he commented "The horse was in good condition and I could race as planned. I am thankful to everyone for allowing me to raceas long as I have. This is a battle against myself. I will do my best for everyone."
