Mirai Iwata guided Conch Shell to a comfortable win in the G3 Nakayama Himba Stakes at Nakayama Racecourse. Kukuna made a late challenge but finished second, a half-length behind the winner, and Shinryokuka came home in third a head behind Kukuna. Sent-off favourite, Fierce Pride finished a disappointing ninth. The winning time was 1:49.0.

Conch Shell is a daughter of Kizuna out of Xanas, by Galileo. This is her second consecutive win, after winning the 3 Win Class Hatsune Stakes, and a first graded stakes title.
