Laurel River with Tadhg O'Shea on board dominated the G1 Dubai World Cup at Meydan Racecourse on Saturday evening. Last year's winner, Japan's own Ushba Tesoro, finished second and Senor Buscador came home in third.

Laurel River is a son of Into Mischief out of Calm Water, by Empire Maker. This was his first time racing over 2000m and he easily accounted for the field to win the World Cup for the locals.
