Bellagio Opera with Kazuo Yokoyama on board won the G1 Osaka Hai in a thrilling finish at Hanshin Racecourse on Sunday. Rousham Park finished a neck behind in second and Rouge Eveil came home in third a nose behind Rousham Park. Tastiera finished a disappointing 11th despite being made pre-race favourite. The winning time was 1:58.2.

Bellagio Opera is a son of Lord Kanaloa out of Air Routine, by Harbinger. This is a first G1 title for Bellagio Opera and trainer Hiroyuki Uemura, and follows his second-place finish in the G2 Kyoto Kinen.
