Sunday Thoroughbred Club has announced that two-time G1 Yasuda Kinen winner Songline and G1 NHK Mile Cup winner Schnell Meister will retire from racing, taking up stud duties in the new year.
Songline has been a consistent performer domestically and internationally with many graded stakes victories, including the G3 1351 Turf Sprint in Saudi Arabia and three G1 titles including two consecutive wins in the G1 Yasuda Kinen. Connections have decided to retire her after she appeared lame following her run in the Breeder's Cup Mile. She will move to the stud for broodmare duties.
Schnell Meister won three graded titles including one G1 title in the NHK Mile Cup. He is set to begin stallion duties, and is a son of Juddmonte's young sire Kingman.
