Regaleira has established herself as a top-class performer on the middle-distance stage. She broke through at the highest level as a two-year-old by winning the G1 Hopeful Stakes in December 2023, defeating male rivals with a decisive late kick.

As a three-year-old, she boldly took on the colts in the Japanese Classics, including the G1 Satsuki Sho and the G1 Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby), before returning later in the year to claim a landmark victory in the G1 Arima Kinen.

In 2025, she continued to add to her résumé with major wins such as the G2 All Comers and the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup, firmly cementing her status among the elite.

Danon Decile has risen to prominence as a major force in the middle-distance ranks. He reached the pinnacle of his generation by winning the Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby) in 2024, then carried that momentum into 2025 with victory in the American Jockey Club Cup. His class was further underlined on the international stage when he captured the G1 Dubai Sheema Classic.

Later that summer, he travelled to the UK and finished fifth in the International Stakes at York, gaining valuable experience against a world-class field. Returning to Japan in the autumn, he delivered a strong performance in the Japan Cup, finishing third against elite international competition.

Museum Mile has established himself as a leading presence in the middle-distance ranks. He showed early promise as a two-year-old by finishing second in the Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes, and carried that form into his three-year-old season.

In 2025, he captured the G1 Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas), confirming his class at the highest level, before finishing sixth in the Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby). In the autumn, he added another major success by winning the St Lite Kinen, and later delivered a top-level performance by finishing second in the Tenno Sho (Autumn), proving his ability against elite older horses.

Meisho Tabaru has established himself as a powerful presence in the middle-distance division. He announced his ability in 2024 with a dominant victory in the Mainichi Hai, producing one of the fastest times in the race’s history.

Although he struggled when setting a strong pace in the Satsuki Sho, he rebounded later in the season with a convincing win in the Kobe Shimbun Hai, confirming his stamina and front-running strength. In 2025, he continued to perform at the top level, earning his first GⅠ title in the Takarazuka Kinen and solidifying his status as one of the leading middle-distance horses in Japan.

Arima Kinen race overview

The Arima Kinen is a horse race held at Nakayama Racecourse. It is a G1 race run on turf over a distance of 2500 meters. Horses aged three and above are eligible to participate. The full field consists of 16 horses. Known as the grand finale of the Japan Racing Association (JRA) calendar, it is a major race that takes place at the end of the year at Nakayama Racecourse, alongside the Japanese Derby, and is highly renowned.

Established in 1956 as the "Nakayama Grand Prix," the Arima Kinen is a Grand Prix race where the participating horses are determined by fan voting.

Racecourse Feature

Nakayama 2500m turf course : One-and-a-half laps of inner course starting from the outer course and approximately 192m to the first corner. Home straight is approximately 310m with a height difference of 2.4m. Front runners on the rail have an advantage.
