Dobune, a son of Deep Impact, won the Listed Port Island Stakes at Hanshin Racecourse on Sunday. With this win, Deep Impact ties with his own sire, Sunday Silence, on total number of wins by his progeny in the JRA. The pair are locked on 2749 wins each.

A true model of consistency, stock by Deep Impact have continued to perform at the highest level, both at home and abroad. The Aidan O'Brien-trained Auguste Rodin achieved the Derby double in the UK and IRE this year. In the JRA, about 160 progenies of Deep Impact are currently registered as active racehorses. In just a matter of time, Deep Impact will move clear at the summit of the stallion ranks and be crowned as the most prolific sire of winners ever in the JRA.
