Triple Tiara winner Liberty Island faces extended stint on the sidelines

Last year's Triple Tiara winning filly, Liberty Island, who finished 3rd in the G1 Dubai Sheema Classic, has been found to have mild inflammation in her suspensory ligament, forcing her to take a complete break this spring to prepare for the fall. The announcement was made by the Sunday Thoroughbred Club on their website.

Due to prolonged swelling in the right front leg caused by an external injury, an ultrasound examination was conducted as a precautionary measure. For the time being, the plan is to keep her in light training, allowing the affected area to settle down and ensuring a proper recovery.
