Barrier numbers confirmed for the G1 Japanese Derby

The barrier draw for the 91st G1 Japanese Derby, set to take place at Tokyo Racecourse on May 26, was finalized on the 23rd.

The undefeated G1 Satsuki Sho winner Justin Milano will start from barrier 15.

Regaleira, aiming to become the first filly to win since Vodka, has drawn barrier 2. The undefeated Sixpence, winner of the Spring Stakes, will start from barrier 12.

Other notable entries include Urban Chic, aiming to claim the title after finishing fourth in the Satsuki Sho, starting from barrier 8. Danon Ayers Rock, who comes into this race with a record of three wins from four starts, including a victory in the Principal Stakes, will start from barrier 9. Cosmo Kuranda, who won the Yayoi Sho and finished a close second in the Satsuki Sho, will start from barrier 6. The race is scheduled to start at 15:40.
