Mistral Feather, daughter of the Eclipse Award winning mare Awesome Feather, to debut on Saturday

Mistral Feather, a progeny of US G1 winner Awesome Feather, will make her debut in Kokura Race 5 2-Year-Old Fillies Newcomers on Saturday.
Mistral Feather boasts a rich pedigree, with Maurice as her sire and Awesome Feather as her dam, with Awesome of Course as the damsire. Her dam achieved 10 wins from 11 starts in the US, including two G1 victories, including the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies in 2010, earning the Eclipse Award for Champion 2-Year-Old Filly. Mistral Feather was sold for JPY 39 million (excluding tax) as a foal at the Select Sale two years ago.
Over the past month, she has been thoroughly trained on the slope course and woodchip track. With ample training sessions and competitive times, she appears ready for her debut. So far, her dam's offspring have not quite lived up to expectations, with only Super Feather standing out by reaching Open Class. As the ninth foal, there is hope that Mistral Feather will prove to be a remarkable performer.
