Andrasch Starke, a 10-time leading jockey in Germany, has obtained a short-term license for the first time in four years and will begin riding in races this week.

On the morning of the 18th, Starke was at the Ritto Training Center for training. "Due to the pandemic, I couldn't get the license, but I became the champion jockey in Germany last year, and now I can come. I'm very happy and eager to showcase my skills," he said with enthusiasm. He added with a smile, "I usually come during the colder season, but it's nice to be here while it's warm. I'm also looking forward to seeing the autumn leaves in Kyoto."

Starke is scheduled to ride Yamanin Sympa in the G2 All Comers on the 22nd and will remain in Japan until early November.
