Shin Emperor was guided Ryusei Sakai to a third-place finish in the G1 Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown Racecourse in Ireland. Economics with Tom Marquand won the race and pre-race favourite Auguste Rodin finished second, a neck behind the winner. The winning time was 2:03.20.

Economics is a son of Night Of Thunder out of La Pomme D'amour, by Peintre Celebre. This is his first G1 title and the fourth straight victory after finishing fourth in his debut race.
