Well-related Large Gallery set to debut on Sunday after sharp final workout

Large Gallery, the first foal of Scarlet Color, winner of the 2019 G2 Fuchu Himba Stakes, will make her debut in Sunday's Race 3 Newcomers (1800m turf) at Niigata.
Large Gallery is by American Pharoah out of Scarlet Color, with Victoire Pisa as the damsire. Her dam, Scarlet Color, won the 2019 Fuchu Himba Stakes, placed second in the G3 Queen Stakes the same year, third in the 2020 G2 Hanshin Himba Stakes, and fourth in the G1 Mile Championship, excelling mainly in distances ranging from a mile to 2000 meters. Large Gallery was conceived when her dam was sent to the United States for breeding.
She has been meticulously prepared for her debut. In her final workout on the woodchip track, she clocked a sharp 10.9 seconds for the last furlong, suggesting she has inherited her dam's impressive turn of foot. Expectations are high for a stunning performance on Niigata's long straight.
