On the third day of the Hokkaido Summer Sale, held on August 21, two horses bred by Hokkaido Shizunai Agricultural High School went up for auction. Madrigal Score 2023 (filly, by Mischevious Alex) was purchased by the Japan Racing Association for 1.5 million JPY (excluding tax), and Narita Top Star 2023 (colt, by Animal Kingdom) was sold to Mr. Tetsuma Mine for 2.4 million JPY (excluding tax).

Regarding Madrigal Score 2023, a representative from the Japan Racing Association commented, "She is a very beautiful horse, and she appears to have been well taken care of. We plan to raise her carefully until next year's Breeze-Up Sale."

Taiki Tameda, a third-year student at the school, who held the reins for Narita Top Star 2023 during the sale, expressed his relief, saying, "This horse can be a bit rambunctious, so I'm glad everything went smoothly." Reflecting on the experience, he added, "When the bidding was going up, I felt happy knowing that so many people appreciated the horse. Of course, I hope he races safely, but since he's come into this world, I want him to enjoy his life to the fullest." He then posed for a commemorative photo with a bright smile.
